BCC Album Of The Month
Black Country Communion is a modern ‘supergroup’. Their individual talents bring in sounds from their past bands yet they gel so well that BCC has a sound all its own. This could be a lost album from the ’70s as the music fits that era, but the expertise gained since then means that it could only come from right now. Glenn Hughes is a great front man, with soaring vocals and tough bass lines, but singer-guitarist Joe Bonamassa is a huge presence on this record. With Jason Bonham on drums and Derek Sherinian on keys, who could ask for more? This is a stunning second album from a band that could have settled for just one release. With a UK tour scheduled for later in the year you also have the opportunity to see them play the album live so don’t miss out! A ‘must buy’ for every guitarist.
